We founded Next Step Floors on a simple promise: to solve your problems and make transforming your space easy. Backed by 15 years of combined construction experience and over 300 projects completed, we built a company defined by uncompromising standards and a deep commitment to our clients' long-term satisfaction.
From the first consultation to the final walkthrough, we make the process simple: clear communication, honest pricing, and two partners who oversee every install themselves. When we spot an opportunity to add real value — a better transition, a complementary backsplash — we'll share our expertise so you can decide what's right for your home.
We start by listening — your space, your lifestyle, your budget — then share expert recommendations on materials, transitions, and accents that add real value and longevity to your home.
Every plank and tile is hand-selected and sampled in your own light before we commit, so there are no surprises on install day.
Our master installers treat your home like their own — protected, cleaned daily, and finished with attention to every transition and corner.
We walk you through the finished work and back it with our 2-year workmanship warranty — if there's ever an issue with how it was installed, we make it right.

Next Step Floors LLC warrants its installation workmanship for two (2) years beginning on the project's substantial-completion date. If an installation problem is confirmed to have resulted directly from our workmanship, Next Step Floors LLC will repair the affected installation area at no additional labor charge.
The company must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the issue and determine whether it is covered before any repair is performed.
The warranty does not cover:
Material and product warranties are provided by their respective manufacturers. Next Step Floors LLC will reasonably assist the customer with submitting a manufacturer claim but does not control whether the manufacturer approves it. Unless specifically stated in the signed contract, the workmanship warranty does not cover labor associated with removing or reinstalling defective manufacturer materials.
To maintain warranty eligibility, the customer must:
To submit a warranty claim, visit the "Submit a Warranty Claim" page on our website. You will be asked to provide your name, email, project address, quote or invoice number, installation completion date, type of flooring or service, a description of the problem, the date the problem was first noticed, photographs or video, confirmation that the project is paid in full, confirmation that no other person or contractor has modified the affected area, and your electronic signature.
Once a claim is submitted, Next Step Floors LLC will assign it a unique claim number, notify the company by email, and send the customer a confirmation stating that submission does not automatically mean the claim is covered. The company will inspect the issue and mark the claim as Pending Inspection, Covered, Partially Covered, Not Covered, Repair Scheduled, or Closed. A written decision notice will be provided explaining the determination. All claim activity is permanently recorded with timestamps.
Next Step Floors LLC performs flooring services that do not require a contractor's license under its ordinary scope of work. Projects involving regulated trades, permits, government programs, structural modifications, plumbing, electrical work, or other licensed work may require properly licensed professionals.
Nothing in this warranty eliminates any rights or obligations that cannot legally be waived under applicable Michigan law.
