2-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty

Warranty Coverage

Next Step Floors LLC warrants its installation workmanship for two (2) years beginning on the project's substantial-completion date. If an installation problem is confirmed to have resulted directly from our workmanship, Next Step Floors LLC will repair the affected installation area at no additional labor charge.

The company must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the issue and determine whether it is covered before any repair is performed.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

• ●Manufacturing defects or material failures
• ●Normal wear, scratches, dents, stains, fading, discoloration, or misuse
• ●Damage caused by pets, furniture, appliances, improper cleaning, or inadequate maintenance
• ●Moisture, excessive humidity, plumbing leaks, flooding, mold, or water intrusion unrelated to our installation
• ●Structural movement, foundation settlement, subfloor movement, or concealed conditions
• ●Damage caused by heating, cooling, or humidity levels outside the flooring manufacturer's requirements
• ●Customer-supplied materials that are defective, damaged, insufficient, incompatible, or discontinued
• ●Natural variations in wood, stone, grout, or dye lots
• ●Minor grout or caulk maintenance unless the failure is confirmed to have resulted from improper installation
• ●Work modified, repaired, removed, or disturbed by the customer or another contractor
• ●Conditions resulting from a customer declining recommended preparation, moisture mitigation, leveling, repairs, expansion requirements, or other corrective work
• ●Problems caused by failing to follow manufacturer care and maintenance instructions
• ●Incidental or consequential expenses, including hotel stays, lost income, moving expenses, or work performed by another company, to the extent permitted by Michigan law

Material Warranties

Material and product warranties are provided by their respective manufacturers. Next Step Floors LLC will reasonably assist the customer with submitting a manufacturer claim but does not control whether the manufacturer approves it. Unless specifically stated in the signed contract, the workmanship warranty does not cover labor associated with removing or reinstalling defective manufacturer materials.

Customer Requirements

To maintain warranty eligibility, the customer must:

• ●Pay the project balance in full
• ●Report a suspected problem in writing within 14 days of discovering it
• ●Submit photographs and a description of the problem
• ●Allow Next Step Floors LLC reasonable access to inspect the installation
• ●Give Next Step Floors LLC the first opportunity to correct covered workmanship
• ●Follow the manufacturer's cleaning, care, temperature, and humidity requirements

Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim, visit the "Submit a Warranty Claim" page on our website. You will be asked to provide your name, email, project address, quote or invoice number, installation completion date, type of flooring or service, a description of the problem, the date the problem was first noticed, photographs or video, confirmation that the project is paid in full, confirmation that no other person or contractor has modified the affected area, and your electronic signature.

Once a claim is submitted, Next Step Floors LLC will assign it a unique claim number, notify the company by email, and send the customer a confirmation stating that submission does not automatically mean the claim is covered. The company will inspect the issue and mark the claim as Pending Inspection, Covered, Partially Covered, Not Covered, Repair Scheduled, or Closed. A written decision notice will be provided explaining the determination. All claim activity is permanently recorded with timestamps.

Licensing Notice

Next Step Floors LLC performs flooring services that do not require a contractor's license under its ordinary scope of work. Projects involving regulated trades, permits, government programs, structural modifications, plumbing, electrical work, or other licensed work may require properly licensed professionals.

Nothing in this warranty eliminates any rights or obligations that cannot legally be waived under applicable Michigan law.
